SCOPE AND PURPOSE:

The National Council on Disability submits this brief amicus curiae based on its unique perspective on and experience with disability law and policy. 

This case involves the proper interpretation of the definition of “disability” in the ADA, a threshold determinant of who will receive the protections the ADA provides. The specific question presented, whether “an impairment precluding an individual from performing only a limited number of tasks associated with a specific job qualifies as a disability,”
